Day 1 : Colombo - Pinnawala - Dambulla
Arrive at Colombo. Proceed to visit Pinnawala elephant orphanage, a home to the retired and orphaned Elephants. See a lot of captive elephants together in one place bathing, playing, feeding, fighting and chasing each other for fun. Arrive at Dambulla in the evening.
Day 2 : Dambulla - Sigiriya - Matale - Kandy
Visit the Sigiriya rock fortress - Lion rock and Frescoes of the Heavenly Maidens at Sigiriya. Later visit the Dambulla rock temple - The ancient caves and the tallest Buddha statue. Proceed to Kandy via Matale to visit a famous spice garden and witness a Cookery demonstration. Arrive at Kandy in the evening.
Day 3 : Kandy - Peradeniya
Visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens followed by visit to Ceylon Tea Factory, Kandy Lake, Temple of the Tooth Relic, Kandy Town, Bazaar, Arts and Crafts centre, Gems museum and Lapidary. Enjoy the traditional Sri Lankan Dance Show in the evening.
Day4 : Kandy - Tea Plantation - Nuwara Eliya
Proceed to Nuwara Eliya, enroute visit the Anjaneear (Hanuman) temple of Ramayana Trail at Ramboda, followed by a visit to Tea Factory. Arrive at Nuwara Eliya in the evening.
Day 5 : Nuwara Eliya - Hakgala - Colombo
Proceed to Hakagla. Visit the Sita Amman Temple - according to tradition, the site is associated with Sita of the Ramayana epic. Ancient statues of Rama and Sita can be seen on a side of the temple. Later visit the Hakgala Botanical Gardens (Ashok Vatika) - one of the pleasure gardens of King Ravana. Arrive at Colombo in the evening.
Day 6 : Colombo - Kelaniya
Visit the Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya, a famous Budha temple built in the 3rd century B.C. Also visit a shrine dedicated to Vibushana, king Ravana's brother, who allied with Rama in the struggle to rescue Sita followed by the temple dedicated to Anjaneyar at Kalubowila Dehiwela, This is the only temple in the world to have a chariot dedicated to Anjaneyar. Kelaniya is also the centre for traditional Sinhala pottery. Arrive at Colombo. In the evening free time for shopping at the House of Fashions mall.
Day 7 : Colombo City tour - Male
City tour includes 100 years old clock tower, British built colonial buildings, Hindu and Buddhist temples and Bandaranaike Memorial International. Arrive at Maldives by flight.
Day 8 : Male - City Tour
City tour includes President's Palace, Big Mosque, Sultan Park, local Fish Market. Free time for shopping. Evening free to enjoy the blue water of Maldives.
Day 9 : Male
Board the flight for your hometown.
